First Dates

The aim of this project is to make patterns that can be seen in an environment where a first date takes place and used as a conversation starter.

A first date is always scary. Even though most first dates look the same, the way to get too that first date can look different. Nowadays most people match on net based matching platforms and set a date after just seeing some pictures of each other. Other ways to set a first date can be through blind dates, meeting someone out at a bar or on the street and asking for their number. Others can meet at a workplace or in school and build up a flirty chemistry before asking each other on a date. The way to the date can look different, but if you see two people on a date you can almost always spot them immediately. Two nervous people sitting in front of or next to each other. They usually have a drink or a coffee in their hand. They are somewhat dressed up to show their best selves. You can see them trying to look cute while talking, laughing, drinking and emoting. The conversation may fizzle and the stress starts to grow over the fact that none of them can come up with new things to say. This is where my patterns come into play.
